Welcome to Jamaica, the island paradise some call the best place on earth while others say it is the capital of the Caribbean.

Jamica is the third largest english speaking island in the caribbean, just about 200 mile south of Key West, Florida and 90 of Cuba.

Gaining independence in 1962 from Britan, Jamaica is no doubt one of the most popular islands of the caribbean. With its english speaking population and proximity to the united states this little island has served as the perfect getaway for north americans and an increasing number of europeans. This perfect getaway was the ideal spot for some of the James Bond movies and many other internationally produced films.

Jamaica is also known for its reggae music and one of the world rekown entertainer Bob Marley. Reggae music can be heard blaring from cars, buses and homes at all times of the day and even those visitors with two left foot (no rhythms) will get in the groove. Jamaica is also known for its jerk chicken and pork and Red Stripe beer. Almost all restaurant today has some form of jerk item on their menu and the words "no problem mon" in the vocabulary of a lot of non jamaicans.

Places to visit:

If you are looking for sea, sun and lot's of fun you will definately find it in Jamaica. You can visit Kingston (capital city) and it's surroundings such as; Port Royal a must see, make sure you check out the lovely restaurants and bars on the hip strip in New Kingston. A visit to Blue Mountain is also a must this breath taking trip way up into the heavens give you a better perspective on how life should be enjoyed and a place that you will certainly want to revisit. You can also take the short trip to Portland (home of the jerk) and visit the many attractions.

You can go to the St. Ann (the garden parish) where you will find Ocho Rios. Don't be afraid of climbing the Dunn's River Falls or swim with the Dolphins while you are there.

And last but certainly not least visit Montego Bay/Negril.

Montego Bay possess endless possibilities for a good time and I am sure that as you leave the airplane and enters the airport you will feel the awesome vibes of Mobay welcoming you to a wonderful experience. Negril is about an hour west of Montego Bay however don't let the drive time discourage you. upon arriving at your hotel you will quickly say the drive was worth it. While Negril is home to a lot of spring breakers this town hold the record for a good time. Regardless of your level of adventure you will have fun here.
