Anguilla

Anguilla

A gem in the Caribbean, Anguilla sits within the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic just north of St. Kitts. Anguilla was formally apart of a three island governing entity and was later recognized as an independent territory of Britain in 1980.

With just about 13,000 population and 102 sq km of land space there are a lot to do once you are on this island paradise. Its 12 miles of white sandy beach and average temperature of 80 0F /27 0C your time spent her will be both memorable and pleasurable.

For on experience of a lifetime it is highly recommended that you watch the sunset from one of the many Island outposts while sipping on one of the many cocktails and you favorite meal. Seafood is the specialties here; so don't be afraid to eat.

Whether you are here for relaxation, beach or just a good time; Anguilla has something for everyone. You can choose to relax in one of the many luxurious hotels, at a villa on the beach or hide away in a bed and breakfast. One thing is for certain and that is your time will be well spent.

How to get there?

There are almost no direct flights from the U.S. into Anguilla so you will make a connection either in Puerto Rico or St. Maarten. For European travelers the connections could be as high as three. Once you get to the island you will quickly forget those connections as this sparsely populated island offers up some of the most spectacular beaches and restaurants on earth.

What to Bring?

A bathing suit, lots of money and a well rested body. Due to its size and the fact that it is not as populated as other island you pretty much have the island for yourself. You will occasionally run into a famous person (do not disturb) as this is their sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of life State side. For these reason things tends to be a bit pricier but lots of fun none the less.
